NOTES:
1.  the highest summit of Baekdu-san is on the Chinese
side of Cheonji-ho crater-lake, 2850m, but is not
considered part of the Baekdu-daegan Mountain-
System;  Janggun-bong is said to be its "origin".

2.  Nam-Potae-san 2435m on the south is bypassed.

3.  Gwachi-bong 1668m on the east is bypassed.

4.  Gwandu-bong 2136m on the west is bypassed.

5.  Here the "Jangbaek-Jeonggan" Range branches
off to the NE.

6.  Jeombong-san 2150m on the south is bypassed.

7.  Geomdeok-san 1684m on the east is bypassed.

8.  Here the "Cheongbuk-jeongmaek" and "Cheongnam-
jeongmaek" Ranges branch off to the west.  

9.  Here the "Haeseo-jeongmaek" and "Yeseongnam-
Imjinbuk-jeongmaek" Ranges branch off to the SW.

10.  Eungbong-san 1665m, Bonghwang-san 1259m and
Heulyeong-san 1345m on the west are all bypassed.

11.  Here the "Hanbuk-jeongmaek" Range branches off
 heading south then west, at first through Baekam-
 san Nam-bong 1110m

12.  Here the "Dosol-jimaek" Range branches off to the
 south across the DMZ to Daeam-san 1304m (Yanggu),
 then southwest through Obong-san 779m & Buyong-
 san 882m (northern Chuncheon City), running
 between the North Han River and the Soyang River.
